TIME

TIME- We all have it, right? I created TIME, Today's Inspirational Moment of Encouragement, the year of transition for me, which was 2018. I remember not being able to sleep as I was traveling monthly or weekly for work. Staying even in luxury hotels and resorts was nice yet, I missed home. The comfort of my own place and bed, my family and friends. During that time, I traveled mostly alone. It was a great benefit as I reflected on my days of training, professional education, and loads of networking opportunities.

If you didn't know, I consider myself an ambivert. Google dictionary definition:

Ambivert - a person whose personality has a balance of extrovert and introvert features.

Though traveling using OPM (others people's money) was a blessing. At the end of the evening, I was pooped, drained from being an "extrovert," or as I would say it when my name was called for attendance at these professional education courses, "the life of the party is here." I know, I know, silly and cute. It worked though at 9 am in a class filled with at least 100 people, I would hear a burst of roaring laughter from election professionals that seemed to wake up the crowd.

This memory was obviously pre-COVID days where we all were free and just living our best life incognizant of what was to come 2 years later. As a reader, you may be wondering, "Shishandra, where is this going?" Well, I was blessed to be able to create a motivational minute called "TIME," Today's Motivational Moment of Encouragement during one of the busiest times of my life. I share loads of encouragement through my social media sites for my brand, Fashioned For Hem.

"I share because there are days when I am not feeling my best or as the old saying goes "I woke up on the wrong side of the bed."

Or something I want is not working out, and God reminds me that this may be what I need. Or I get a glimpse at that moment of what God has kept me from or what I can learn from it. There are days where I write an inspirational or encouraging post for T.I.M.E., and I feel as if it may be needed to encourage someone else when ultimately I end up encouraging myself.

"We all have those moments in life when things do not go the way we want them to go. Fill in the blank line: The ________ did not work out, I did not get the ____________, I feel as if ____________ !" Don't allow your blank line __________________ to stop you from going after what God needs you to do unless he says so. "

So I am gearing up to start recording 1 minute inspirational moments on YouTube and TikTok called TIME. Sharing this on my blog makes it real (3 years in the making, I have videos recorded and never released). It will be a little outside of my comfort zone; I know what happened to "Life of The Party," well, I am still here, and I haven't recorded a YouTube video in 3 years (Since 2018), to be exact.

Follow and find me on Instagram: @Shishandra_D, YouTube: Shishandra D., & TikTok: @ShishandraD. I am in the process of recording videos. I look to share more. Yes, I have a lot of talents and abilities that I am working towards. I have a home decor piece of this quote on my bookshelf:

"When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left but could say I’ve used everything you gave me." - Erma Bombek

We always believe we have TIME to do what God has called us to do in this life. Yet, we don't know the TIME, HOUR, or DAY that he will call us home. I encourage you to make the most of the TIME that you have with your family, friends, talents, gifts, and abilities. It's easier to put it off because you think you may have time; I have learned to start where I am; it doesn't have to be perfect. Just use your TIME.

Embrace God, Use Your Time, & Be Fashioned for Him!

With Care,

Shishandra D.
