In 2020, during the pandemic, Shishandra made charcuterie boards for her friends and family. Shishandra would share her Charcuerie creations via her social media posts. One day she was messaged by a close friend about purchasing a board and had an idea to survey Facebook. The responses were excellent; in December 2020, she created Bougie With A Board. Bougie is a word that Shishandra's friends sometimes call her because she likes nice things; though she found it annoying, she wanted to play on that word for her business.

Google defines Bougie as "relating to or characteristic of a person who indulges in some of the luxuries and comforts of a fancy lifestyle."

Bougie With A Board's slogan is "Because We Like Our Cheese Fancy," and we LOVE that you like fancy cheese. Shishandra has created boards, grazing tables, charcuterie cups (varying sizes), dessert boards, brunch boards, and grazes.

Bougie With A Board has been featured in articles for Florida Politics and Tallahassee Table.
