7 Things I Am Grateful for Today!
When was the last time you took a break and had a moment to yourself to write down the things that you are grateful for?!? You may have to think about that answer. Well, last month I shared on FFH how one of my goals was to stop complaining and to have a "Heart of Gratitude."
Today, I would like to share with you 7 Things I Am Grateful for Today!
1. I am grateful for LIFE.
I know what you may be thinking... Well, of course, you should be grateful for LIFE! Well, it happens for me, especially If I am rushing I may forget to say "Thank you Lord for waking me up as I am Grateful for my LIFE." I have learned that though I strive for perfection I am imperfect. Taking out the time to practice gratitude is a concerted effort. This action of practicing gratitude is all-encompassing that God allows me to have life.
2. I am grateful for my family and friends.
I know this could be considered 2 separate gratefulness affirmations. Yet, I have friends who have become family. I have family members that we are connected more than just by blood, we care, we help each other, we cry together, we laugh, and we have fun. I am grateful for my family and friends.
3. I am grateful that God has given me the ability to have provisions.
I use the word provisions as it is defined as the supplies of food and other necessary things. Some necessary provisions that I need to survive are food, water, air, clothing, and shelter. I am grateful for them.
4. I am grateful for God's Love.
Listen, I am so grateful for God's love and it is so unexplainable yet, he "Loves Conveniently." The love that he has for me I can share with others. That love he has for me is so merciful and filled with grace. I am grateful for God's love.
5. I am grateful for having transportation.
So last year, I brought myself a new car the day before my birthday. I am grateful that I was able to buy a new car and my mom was blessed with my old SUV. One of the things I have learned is to be thankful that I can be a blessing to my family and others. I am grateful for transportation as I can have reliable transportation to travel.
6. I am grateful for healing.
So in April, I wrote about "Grieving Well" and how there isn't a perfect way to grieve. Grieving takes time and going through this process I have experienced a lot of healing. The healing is continual and spans over time. It has not been easy yet, I am learning a lot about myself, others, and how beautiful healing can since I opened my heart to it.
7. I am grateful for a heart of service.
The last few years I have been able to serve whether it was at church, with Toastmasters, or Junior League of Tallahassee. I have a heart of service. Recently, I was able to plan an event with a great group of JLT members called "Kids' Boutique." This event prepared at least 101 children in the Leon County area for back to school. The children received a shopping spree for clothing and a backpack full of school supplies. I loved being able to see the children's face light up with joy. I am grateful to have a heart of service.
I have shared with you the 7 Things I am Grateful for Today!! This list is a lot longer in my journal. I challenge you to take a moment and write a list of things that you are grateful for today.
"Embrace God, Love You, & Be Fashioned For Him!"
With Care,
