Monday Morning & OOTD
It's Monday!! Beginning of a new work week for some like me. The weekends seem to fly by fast when you are busy. Yet, I am TRULY thankful to see this day! I just wanted to share with you all a little Monday Morning encouragement.
I woke up this morning and I had all of these little things on my mind. For example, what am I going to eat for breakfast, what to wear, and I needed to make a to-do list for work.
Those are little things for me as I know I have some bigger things ahead. I am still feeling inspired from this weekend of celebrating others and hearing the sermon about purpose, that I wanted to share some encouragement.
My Monday's are not always peachy, yet I start my day with prayer and music. I have learned that music wakes me up and gets me going. I usually listen to Pandora and switch between stations of contemporary Christian and Gospel artist. Pandora has really neat features where I can like or skip a song that I don’t want to hear.
I'm sharing all of this to say I set the tone of my day once I wake up. Some mornings I can be distracted or concerned about little things that will work themselves out. By listening to music I am awaken and I normally get happier, (especially when the Pandora Stations plays my favs).
Now if the music doesn't work I read daily devotionals, like Joyce Meyer "Power Thoughts." This book is 365 daily inspirations for winning the battle of the mind. Also, I read several other devotionals via the Bible app on my cellphone.
These are just starters, there are many creative ways to start off your Monday morning feeling encouraged and walking with a positive attitude. I’d like to say "I have that I can conquer the world attitude!!"
I know it starts with my mind and my thoughts. So I make a concerted effort to think on good, pure, and lovely thoughts. Even when I may deal with people or situations that are totally opposite. I still smile and purpose to be in good spirits.
I challenge you to take steps to start your week off right. Come up with creative ways to ensure that you are stepping out your front door as your best self. That best self-starts from within.
I’m only sharing what I know, I use to dress up hurt and put on a smile. Now I just dress up and I set the tone of my day with prayer and music. The smile is genuine and doesn’t take effort.
Speaking of dressing up here is my OOTD:
As you can see I am wearing a little pink and navy blue today. The pants are thrifted. There goes that something old to something new to me! Finished the look with rose gold accesories and black heels. To achieve a similar look:
I hope you are feeling inspired, encouraged, and creatively set the tone to have an AMAZING Monday! continue this throughout your days and remember Embrace God, Love You, and be Fashioned For Hem!
